Waiver NS Fast Camp.doc

Camper,

We look forward to hosting you at Lake Forest College for the annual Lake Forest Football Camp on June 13th. We have over 100 College Coaches and 45+ colleges and universities represented. It is an honor to welcome schools like Princeton, Columbia, US Military Academy, Indiana State, Eastern Illinois University and so many more to our campus. We look forward to once again being the pre-eminent camp in the Chicagoland area.

At the request of the Chicagoland Coaches Association-- our camp is 100% "not padded" this year.  With the spring season in Illinois and many of the schools having sent their equipment out for reconditioning, we have decided to have the lineman portion of our camp be unpadded for the 2021 summer to prevent pressure on the high school coaches. All other positions have been unpadded anyway. We will still have several lineman competitions, one on ones, and other evaluative opportunities for all the lineman.

At the camp- due to COVID 19 restrictions, please make sure that you bring your own water bottle. We will not be allowed to have "shared" water containers on campus. There will be a concession stand with water, gatorade, and some snacks available if you run out.

Parents, we will be on four different fields for drills. NO ONE is allowed on to the turf or grass fields that we are having camp on. You will be asked to leave by the campus police force and issued a citation. We have restrictions on the number of people that can be "in the facility" at one time, and at this camp, it is far more important for the college coaches who are there to teach and evaluate than it is for "fans" to be there.

For your convenience, I have reattached the waiver form that is necessary for the camp. This must be printed and signed with you to camp. Additionally, every athlete will be asked to fill out a COVID symptom checklist prior to entering the registration area.

Camp check-in will take place at the Sports and Recreation Center at Lake Forest College, NOT at the Football Field. It is building #35 on the campus map which can be found here: CAMPUS MAP There is ample parking for the event throughout our campus, however you will be ticketed if you park on the streets of Lake Forest, or in reserved parking spaces on campus. Halas Hall (the building in front of our football field) is an active construction zone, there will be limited restroom facilities at that site.

The schedule is as follows:

12-2pm registration and OPTIONAL testing. College Coaches will have testing groups that can test the 40 yard dash, Pro Agility, Height, Weight, 10 Yard Burst Test. These tests are OPTIONAL, and you should not feel pressure to test if you are not prepared. As a reminder, once the 40 time is recorded, it is there forever. If you have not been training for the 40, I would recommend against it. At registration, you will be given your tee shirt, and assigned a number. You must wear that Tee shirt on the field at all times as it is the only way for coaches to identify you.

2pm Camp Opening Ceremony/Introductions - Mohr Field Complex

2:15pm Camp Warm up begins

Camp will conclude with competitions on various fields based on position, Graduation year, etc. There will be a staggered end to camp as we have our final competitions on Farwell Field to allow players to showcase in front of all the coaches at one site.

We will have athletic trainers on site-- however, they are only cleared to provide treatment in case of an injury. There will not be any "preventative treatment" (ankle taping, wrist taping, etc.) by our athletic trainers.

In the case of weather issues. We will go outside in rain. If lightning pushes us inside, we have a plan for a movement circuit that we can do for coach evaluations if it looks like the lightning will persist. Therefore, you should bring SNEAKERS/GYM shoes with you in case of weather.  Following institution protocols, there will be a 30 minute delay after the last lightning strike and it must register as being 10 miles away from campus. Only our ATC's can give the All-Clear and it will be based off of the "Weather Sentry" application.
