Dear Cyclone Fans:

I hope my early May newsletter finds you doing well. I want to start out this month by thanking all of you who attended our FIRST ISU Wrestling Town Hall Social in Ankeny this past Thursday. Over 300 people joined us -- great fans, great environment, and something that will help us build momentum for the coming season.

Check out an amazing video clip of the event here.

Stay tuned for information on the next town hall social. We are considering holding it in the West DM area early this summer. AND if you would like to learn how to host something similar in your part of the state, please email me at kdresser@iastate.edu. I would be glad to share with you a couple of frameworks we are finalizing to host great social events and build our Cyclone Regional Training Center. This is a good chance to meet my staff and help ISU Wrestling.

Moving on, just some quick (and exciting) information for all die hard Cyclone fan concerning scheduling for next year. We will have eight (8) HOME dual meets next season, plus the Cyclone Open on the first Saturday of November. Here are dual teams coming to Ames next season:

Drexel, Rider, Iowa, Oregon State, Northern Colorado, West Virginia, Fresno, and Wyoming.

Note that we also will wrestle one of those dual meets in CY Stephens! Yes, a wrestling dual meet in a fine arts theater! Ancient Art meets Fine Arts--you won't want to miss that!

I will have our complete schedule for the 2017-18 season in my June Newsletter.

By the way, I am sending out my May Newsletter a little bit early for a couple of reasons.
1. We will be leaving for the UWW Junior Nationals in Vegas mid-week and I will get real busy. With that said, I am excited to see eight (8) current Cyclones (Vega, Baker, Cochran, Storr, Parker, Baptista, Colbray and Gremmel) compete on Friday and Saturday. Plus, our Open guys will be wrestling (Moreno, Gadsen, and Bradley). It also will be a great recruiting opportunity with many very good HS wrestlers competing. Our entire staff will be in Las Vegas this week.
2. I am a goal-oriented guy and I want to meet a May 1st fund raising goal. That goal is simple: I want to have 50 new donors between this email and May 1. You can donate online at our new website here or even send a check to Cyclone RTC, Attention Dan Dresser, 3013 NW 89th Ave, Ankeny IA 50023. We are going to list all current donors on our website unless you wish to remain anonymous. So please check out our website now and contribute. A lot of people pulling together can make us great again, so help me meet my goal by May 1! There isnt a better time to become a part of the NEW Cyclone Regional Training Center (C-RTC).

AS I close, I am so excited for the future. We have a lot of work to do and we need everybody to get involved at some level. Attend an event, purchase season tickets when they become available, donate to our RTC, and of course-- come to Hilton often!! Everyone can be a difference maker to get us back to where we belong. Thanks and Go Clones!!
